  • Allama Shibli Nomani passed away on November 18, 1914, in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. His death marked the end of a significant era in Indian Muslim scholarship. Shibli had been working on his magnum opus, "Sirat-un-Nabi," a detailed biography of the Prophet Muhammad, but could not complete it. His disciple, Syed Sulaiman Nadvi, later took up the task and completed the remaining volumes based on Shibli's notes and outlines.
